What Notifications Will I Receive?

Updated May 12, 2026Employee

Vantage Fit sends you notifications to keep you engaged, celebrate achievements, and remind you of pending wellness tasks. These come in three flavors: push notifications, in-app bell alerts, and local reminders you can configure yourself.

Push Notifications

Push notifications appear on your phone’s lock screen and notification center. Here’s what you can expect:

Challenge Notifications

  • Challenge started — a new challenge you’re enrolled in has begun
  • Challenge completed — the challenge has ended and results are available
  • Pending tasks reminder — you have uncompleted tasks for the day

Team Notifications

  • Team invite received — someone invited you to join their team
  • Team invite accepted/rejected — someone responded to your team invite

Rewards & Achievements

  • Points credited — appears as a popup when you earn points
  • Task completed — appears as a popup confirming a task completion
  • Badge earned — you’ve unlocked a new achievement badge
  • Leaderboard update — your position on the leaderboard has changed
  • Gift voucher sent — someone has sent you a gift card

Wellness Nudges

  • Mood check-in — gentle reminder to log your mood
  • Water intake — nudge to track your hydration
  • Food logging — reminder to log your meals

Device & Social

  • Garmin connection failed — your Garmin sync has stopped working
  • Chat message — someone sent you a message in a group chat
  • Workout ready to import — a workout from your wearable is available to import

Other

  • App rating prompt — occasional request to rate the app

In-App Bell Notifications

The bell icon in the top navigation bar shows your notification feed inside the app.

  • Notifications appear in chronological order, newest first
  • Tap any notification to navigate directly to the relevant screen (e.g., tapping a challenge notification opens that challenge)
  • Notifications are marked as read when you view them
  • An unread count badge appears on the bell icon when you have new notifications

Tip: Check your notification bell regularly — it’s the quickest way to find out what needs your attention without scrolling through the whole app.

Local Reminders (Configurable)

These are reminders you set yourself to build daily wellness habits. They trigger at the times you choose, even if the app isn’t open.

To configure reminders, go to Settings > Reminder Settings. You can set reminders for:

ReminderWhat It DoesConfigurable Options
MoodReminds you to log your moodTime of day, repeat days
WaterReminds you to drink waterTime of day, repeat days
BreakfastReminds you to log breakfastTime of day, repeat days
LunchReminds you to log lunchTime of day, repeat days
SnacksReminds you to log snacksTime of day, repeat days
DinnerReminds you to log dinnerTime of day, repeat days

For each reminder:

  1. Go to Settings > Reminder Settings.
  2. Tap the reminder you want to configure (e.g., Water).
  3. Set the time you’d like to be reminded.
  4. Select which days of the week the reminder should repeat.
  5. Toggle the reminder on or off.

Tip: Set your water reminder for mid-morning and mid-afternoon — those are the times most people forget to hydrate.

What You Can Control

Here’s a quick summary of what’s in your hands and what isn’t:

SettingCan You Control It?
Local reminder times and daysYes — fully configurable in Settings
Leaderboard opt-out (affects some notifications)Yes — toggle in Settings
All push notifications at the OS levelYes — disable via your phone’s notification settings
Selectively disable specific system notification typesNo — not available at this time

Note: If you turn off push notifications at the OS level (iPhone Settings or Android Settings), you won’t receive any Vantage Fit push notifications at all — including important ones like challenge starts and points earned. Consider using “Do Not Disturb” schedules instead if you want quieter periods without losing notifications entirely.

Leaderboard Opt-Out and Notifications

If you opt out of the leaderboard, you’ll stop receiving some competitive notifications like leaderboard position updates. You’ll still receive all other notification types — challenge reminders, points, badges, and wellness nudges.
